SHOW REGISTRATION BREAKDOWN  


Spend Memorial Day Weekend in Key West!  Bring the family, have some "fun in the sun", relax in the shade, and all the while, you'll be benefiting those that do so much for us!  Throughout the weekend, there will be activities centered around the Car Show.  You participate only in the activities that you like then venture out on your own the rest of the time, please check the SCHEDULE for details on all the events.  You will be able to leave your vehicle inside a secured and patrolled area of the base, when not in the show and there will be a transportation ticket available so that you can get around town and to the planned events, without needing to move your vehicle.  We have also secured a block of DISCOUNTED hotel rooms for your convenience.

The registration amount, per car, entitles you and up to 3 guests to attend the activities listed on the show menu above.  If you have additional guests, you can register them via a form in the REGISTRATION - FORMS page, or it may be cheaper, if your situation allows, to just register another car.

If you choose to make use of the secure on-base parking, there will be a schedule posted in SCHEDULE as to the times when you can access the secured area.  IF you need access outside the published hours, please contact us with plenty of time so that we can try and work out a solution, especially if you will be arriving late on Friday and want to leave your vehicle inside the Base.  Check out the TRAILER-PARKING section for a view of the field where the cars will be.

For those that don't want to drive during the weekend, we have secured a discounted transportation only ticket from the Old Town Trolley Tours Company which will allow us to make these tickets available to you for the same price as the Trolley company, but will also allow us to include an event T-Shirt with each ticket.  These tickets will allow unlimited boarding for both Saturday and Sunday.  Please check the Trolley Tours website for the schedules and locations of the stops.  Some of the hotels may also provide shuttles.  You will have to evaluate if just the hotel shuttle will suit you or if you will also need a Trolley ticket.  If you don't get the Trolley ticket, you can always order the t-shirts directly from us at a discount, but only if you order before the show





WELCOME RECEPTION / ORIENTATION  


This is a short get together where you will get the latest show information and will be able to ask any questions you may have.  Most importantly, this is where you will get your ID Tags NECESSARY for the other planned activities.  If for any reason, you will not be able to make it to this activity, PLEASE let us know AHEAD OF TIME so that we can make arrangements to get the ID Tags to you.  You will NOT be allowed on Navy Property or other activities without the proper ID Tags.  We will be serving refreshments and light finger foods.




SUNDAY CAR SHOW  


The Show will be held near the Truman Annex section of the base, in the parking lot of the Key West High School.   The school has parking for around 600 cars, so we should have ample space for exhibitors and the viewing public.  There is an excellent covered area for Venders to set up their booths and there are also larger spaces available in a grassy field next to the covered area.

The Show is scheduled to open to the public at 9:30AM on Sunday May 27th and will run until 1:30PM, awards and trophies will be handed out at 1:15PM.   Venders and Exhibitors may begin arriving at 7:30AM, but must be in place within the show field by Opening Time at 9:30AM.   Please check the SCHEDULE in the REGISTRATION page for the latest times. 

The FCPOA (First Class Petty Officer Association) will have a BBQ concession stand in the Food Court available at lunch time and maybe even some fresh coffee and who knows what else, for the early arrivals in the morning!

LIVE BAND DURING SHOW          


There will be a live band, The Doerfels, playing thru Sunday's Show with DJ music during the breaks.  The Doerfels are a very diversified group, they play anything ranging from Blue Grass to Rock and Roll and mostly anything before, between, and after.  Did I say they were diversified!  They have toured all over the country and are currently wintering in Key West where they appear nightly at different venues throughout the lower keys.

They have a few CD's for sale in Amazon, iTunes, and other venues, but as a Thank You to you for registering for the show, they have allowed us to offer you the CD's at a discount from the regular Amazon, iTunes, and Concert prices.  There is an order form in the FORMS section of the REGISTRATION page where you can pre-order them and get the discount.

TOUR OF NAVAL AIR STATION AND SHIPS  


There is a limited capacity for the ships tours. We will have to break up into small groups with different schedules so that you can go right into the ship without having to wait outside for your turn.   You will be given the final information and be able to work out a schedule, at the Welcome Reception.





EVENING BBQ  


The Evening BBQ will be provided by the FCPOA, they have done this before and are very good at it!  The menu will depend on the sponsor, but at minimum, there will be Hamburgers and/or Hot Dogs, with refreshments.  Details to be forthcoming.
